One family currently receiving SafeCare services has made fantastic progress. Marissa and Nathan are the young, devoted parents of Tyler*, a one-year-old boy. When Tyler was 5 months old, he had a fall from the couch and was rushed to the hospital for treatment of his head trauma. DFCS became involved and identified that the family would benefit from SafeCare Home Visiting Services.
Since SafeCare became involved, the parents state that “My family has benefited greatly from the program. I was unsure about it at first, but it was completely different from what I expected and it has helped me prepare for now as well as for when my child gets older. Thank you for your amazing help.” The parents recently got married, acquired stable employment and housing, and they just celebrated their sons 1st birthday. We are so excited to see this young family learn and grow to provide a safe, stable, nurturing home for their child!
We hope to help other families achieve this same type of positive change, but we need your help! A $10 donation will provide a basic Health Kit and Health Manual for a family. A $15 donation buys supplies to child-proof a home. A $50 donation provides for a Home Visitors transportation to and from family’s homes for 1 week. Please contribute what you can and help Put Children First.
