As a CASA, you will often attend court and present facts about the family in which you are working with. A component of training requires that volunteers spend time observing court hearings. It gives the chance to familiarize one’s self with the processes of court and how decisions can go favorably or totally opposite. With your time spent observing, how have your experiences of observing court cases and hearings influenced your perception of being a CASA, the program as a whole, and the juvenile justice system? Good, bad, or indifferent? And as we embark on new chapters this week what do you feel has been some of the most vital information thus far?
