![]() On Thursday, September 27th, 2018, CASA's newest volunteers participated in training sessions to learn the ins and outs of being a CASA. There were two different training sessions that day, and there were a total of 22 people in attendance. Having that many new volunteers is extremely exciting! Along with getting to know each other, new volunteers learned so much about the steps of CASA cases. Volunteers learned the basics and about life as a CASA through games, exercises, and group activities. They spent some time working on practice case studies, where they had to practice following through with communication by meeting with each other to discuss different viewpoints on the details of a case. Also, Catherine Tillman (pictured to the left) used a large puzzle to teach the volunteers about the different components of CASA cases. We are so pleased to welcome these new volunteers to our CASA team. Each and every one of them are crucial to making sure children in our local foster care system are being properly represented. We hope that you can join us in thanking all 22 of our new volunteers for dedicating their time to support local children. Comments are closed.
